Das Quadrat kehrt zurück – Halle (Saale) 1986 – 1990   return to the square

 Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit ist eine präzise Raumbeobachtung in der Stadt Halle (Saale).
Die zum Teil bedrückende, melancholische und nebelverhangene Atmosphäre auf den Strassen und Plätzen bilden für Harald Kirschner einen interessanten und spannenden Gegensatz zu den Strassen- und Situationsbeobachtungen vom städtischen Leben.
Die Bilder offenbaren eine skurrile oder ironische Sicht auf den urbanen Luxus vor der Energierevolution 1989 in Mitteldeutschland.
Der Photograph entdeckte im Archiv 120 Diapositive im Format 6x6cm.
Damals fotografierte Harald Kirschner mit einer Pentacon Six auf ORWO UT18.
Diese Serie entstand im eigenen Auftrag.
Im Galerie Raum HELLROT wird nun eine exclusive Auswahl präsentiert.
Wir sind gespannt auf feine Farbvergrößerungen vom ORIGINAL-DIA
in den Formaten 30×30 und 40x40cm.

Return of the square – Halle (Saale) 1986 – 1990
Focus of this work is a precise spatial observation in the city of Halle (Saale).
The frequently oppressive, melancholic and fog-veiled atmosphere of the streets and squares forms an interesting and suspenseful counterpoint to the streets and situational observations of urban life for Harald Kirschner. The pictures reveal a whimsical or ironic view or urban luxury prior to the energy revolution of 1989 in central Germany.
The photographer discovered 120 slides in 6x6cm format in the archive. At that time Harald Kirschner was using a Pentacon Six on ORWO UT18.
This series was created on his own initiative – like self assignments.
An exclusive selection is on display at the Galerie Raum HELLROT.
We look forward to seeing a colour enlargement of the original slide in
30×30 and 40x40cm formats.
