Zuweilen braucht das Tun und Lassen in den Landschaften einen ‚periskopischen Blick‘, um den Sinn oder Unsinn ihrer Veränderung genauer zu betrachten oder nur zu erahnen. Das Ziel der Fotografie ist es, Betrachtern eine Landschaft verständlich zu machen, die sie nicht selbst gesehen haben. Damit meine ich z.B. die Arbeit mit einem Hochstativ, das aus
8 Meter Höhe den panoramatischen Blick, die Erfassung von Stadt- und Landschaftsräumen, ermöglicht. Dieser Standpunkt ist jener ideale und für das menschliche Auge nicht einnehmbare Ort der Beobachtung, von dem aus betrachtet Detail und Totalität in einer Ebene liegen und gleichberechtigt sind. Diesen Ort bestimme und konstruiere ich mit der Kamera.
Raise your side: Das meint einen Perspektivwechsel auf das Objekt, der seine Bedeutung für den Architekten offenlegen kann. Diese Neugier auf die Wirklichkeit, das Interesse, die Landschaft und die Architektur mit dem Blick eines Beteiligten zu betrachten und sie mit den verschiedensten Ausdruckmitteln in den Bildern sinnlich anschaulich zu formulieren – sind mein Anliegen.
