ENGLISH VERSION. As of 2005, this festival on ambitious design has been inspiration for both the general public as well as professionals from the fields of science and econ omy. We are not only building a bridge between aesthetics and technical and practical functionality, but also between all economic sectors in an interdisciplinary manner. We made it our goal to foster this brilliance and lend greater importance to the subject of design. We are happy to expand the concept of this success ful event, spatially and in content, together with the curators, jurors and the initiators of Designers’ Open Jan Hartmann and Andreas Neubert. We are including architecture to the Designer’s Open for the first time, both in the exhibition and the sym posium, and give the fashion segment an independent section labeled DO / Fashion. Spatially we are also offering a highlight: The Glass Hall on the Leipzig exhibition grounds offers an excellent context for presenting and experiencing the newest design work. Noteworthy singleeditions, small series and exemplary industry products are available at the Grassimesse taking place at the same time in the Leipzig city center. Visitors to both events can use a combination ticket. A proven concept, a new team and new partners, more content and a bigger space: The 2013 Designers’ Open.

DIE GLASHALLE
SOURCE – LEIPZIGER MESSE
